He’s served the church in various capacities in Italy, India and the United States and now is a Chicago Archdiocese priest. He puts humor into his presentations and hosts a monthly talk show on Catholic Radio titled “Built on the Rock,” which focuses on Christ-centered marriages and relationships. The session March 18 is Love Scripts … How to Read God’s Handwriting and includes exposition of the sacrament. Experienced facilitators Nora Gaines and Ryan Lents will lead the free one-day workshop that helps explore how racism operates on various levels and to create a vision for how to become more like the community of which God dreams. Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 15050 S. Central Ave.: Pinwheel sale through early April for $1.50 apiece at the office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and after services at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. All proceeds will go to Prevent Child Abuse Illinois. Pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention. They will be displayed in the church garden in April, which was designated Child Abuse Prevention Monthy in 1983. Participants also may buy pinwheels for their own homes. Children’s menu for those 12 and younger includes one-piece fish dinner for $9.95, one-piece chicken dinner for $9.50 and two-piece chicken tenderloin dinner for $12.50.
