Religion roundup: Chorale concert, international dinner, ladies tea planned

All Souls Parish, 3010 Ridge Road: South Holland Master Chorale performs at 4 p.m. May 19. “A Mass for Troubled Times, a Call for Peace” will combine music from the 18th and 21st centuries. The chorale and orchestra, directed by Philip J. Bauman, will present the piece “I thank you God for most this amazing day” by contemporary American composer Dan Forrest, based on a text by E.E. Cummings, paired with the 1798 “Mass for Troubled Times,” also popularly known as the “Lord Nelson Mass,” by Franz Joseph Haydn. Admission is free; monetary donations will be accepted. Incarnation St. Terrence, 4300 W. 119th Place: International Tasting Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. May 20 at the St. Terrence worship site. St. Augustine Parish, 4130 147th St.: Mass at 4:30 p.m. May 18 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of St. Christopher School, 14611 Keeler Ave. The celebration follows the Mass and will take place in the school gym. The Franciscan Sisters of Dubuque will be honored for their presence in the school for 100 years, and food, drinks, DJ, raffles and other entertainment are planned.
