Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 Roberts Road: Greek Fest 2024 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 17 and 18. The event will feature carnival rides, games, cash raffle, music, vendors and church tours. Food includes traditional offerings such as pastichio, spanakopita and souvlaki, Greek chicken, gyros, Greek salad, saganaki and tiropita. Flossmoor Community Church, 2218 Hutchison Road: Collection drive to restock urgently needed supplies for Anew: Building Beyond Violence and Abuse. The organization offers items of comfort for families affected by domestic violence. Collection bins are in the lobby and Youth Crossings. Requested items are deodorant, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, body lotion, body wash, laundry detergent (especially 32- to 64-load capacity), cases of water, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, baby wipes and large-sized diapers and pull-ups.
