Senior pitcher Kodi Rizzo comes out of the gate strong for Newark. The Wisconsin-Stevens Point recruit stopped Aurora Central Catholic on four hits in a 6-1 win and then threw a no-hitter against Batavia in a 2-1 win. She struck out 13 in each game.
