Royals vs. White Sox prediction

Kansas City improved to 5-0 against Chicago this season with Monday’s 2-0 shutout behind Seth Lugo’s strong seven innings on the mound.

Lugo allowed four hits and struck out four batters, while first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino drilled his second home run of the season.

The Royals have limited the Sox to one run of fewer in four of the five wins as they send out right-hander Brady Singer to the hill on Tuesday.

Singer owns a miniscule 0.98 ERA through three starts, while posting a 2-0 record.

The lone no-decision came in a 2-1 home win over Chicago on April 5 when he scattered two hits in 6.1 innings of work as Kansas City broke a 1-1 tie with the go-ahead run in the eighth inning.

Jonathan Cannon makes his Major League debut for the Sox, looking to get Chicago back on track.

The Georgia native has compiled a 2.79 ERA in two starts at Triple-A Charlotte and faces a Royals lineup that has struck out 13 times in the last two games against opposing team’s starters.

In all four home series this season, the White Sox have been shut out at least once, but both wins have come after they were blanked in the previous game.

Royals vs. White Sox pick

Singer has been terrific in 2024, but this is by far the largest price (-190) in a game he has pitched.

Let’s back the White Sox on the run-line at plus-money.

  • Pick: White Sox run line +1.5 (+100 at DraftKings)
