About 42,000 ComEd customers remained without power after severe storms pushed through the suburbs Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. And a line of storms moving through the area now has prompted a National Weather Service warning for some of Kane and DuPage counties and some Northwest Cook County suburbs like Elk Grove and Des Plaines.
