ROBBERY: A man handed an employee at Walgreens, 8700 Kedzie Ave., $200 to load onto his debit card and then took the money and fled Jan. 25, police said.
Mokena
THEFT: Catalytic converters were taken from 10 trucks in the 9000 block of West 192nd Street between 4 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday, police said.
Monee
CARS STOLEN: The drivers of two car carriers reported Jan. 24 that three cars were taken overnight from their trailers while parked at Petro Travel Center, 5815 Monee-Manhattan Road.
TOOL THEFT: Tools valued at more than $11,000 were reported taken Jan. 24 from commercial storage boxes forcibly entered in the 5700 block of Industrial Drive, police said.
SEXUAL ASSAULT: Joseph W. Dambrose, 36, 500 block of Sandburg Drive, Manteno, was arrested Jan. 30 on a warrant charging him with criminal sexual assault of a minor and aggravated criminal sexual abuse in May 2024, according to police and Will County court records online. Dambrose, who also has a Monee address, was ordered detained in the Will County jail at a Feb. 1 hearing, court records show.
Oak Lawn
ROAD RAGE: A motorist claiming he was a police officer threatened to shoot a pedestrian Jan. 23 at 92nd Street and Kilpatrick Avenue when the pedestrian attempted to explain traffic was being slowed by another motorist making a U-turn, police said.
DEALING CHARGED: Ahmad M. Herron, 20, Chicago, was arrested Jan. 25 and subsequently charged with possessing more than 500 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver after an officer recovered 1½ pounds of marijuana in three bags and spilled on the floor, 31 empty plastic snack bags and a digital scale at Southwest Highway and Duffy Avenue, police said.
GUN POSSESSION: Yousef Qasem, 27, Oak Lawn, was arrested Feb. 1 and subsequently charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a firearm as well as aggravated fleeing and eluding after Oak Lawn officers apprehended him at 83rd Street and Central Avenue in Burbank, police said. Officers recovered a loaded 9 mm handgun from Qasem, who was driving a vehicle linked to a shooting in Justice, police said.
Orland Park
COUNTERFEIT BILL: Charles E. Reid, 62, Chicago, was charged with forgery Jan. 5 after attempting to use a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for a purchase at a supermarket in the 11300 block of 159th Street, police said.
DUI CRASH: Emily A. Lindgren, 25, 9800 block of Treetop Drive, Orland Park, was arrested Jan. 6 and accused of driving under the influence of drugs after colliding with a tree in the 9800 block of Treetop Drive, police said.
AMMUNITION: Robert E. Spearman Jr., 19, 15100 block of Sunset Drive, Dolton, was arrested Jan. 11 and accused of possessing firearm ammunition without a gun permit after officers recovered a loaded magazine at 167th Street and La Grange Road, police said.
Palos Hills
SPITTING: Dominic Brummond, 23, 10100 block of 84th Terrace Palos Hills, was arrested Jan. 22 and accused of battery after spitting at an officer responding to a disturbance in that block, police said.
Tinley Park
ROBBERY CHARGED: Ryan C. Beechy, 21, 16700 block of Beverly Avenue, Tinley Park, is scheduled to appear in Will County court Feb. 14, charged with robbery, according to court records online. Tinley Park officers arrested Beechy and another man who has not been charged Jan. 29 in the 7200 block of 7255 183rd Street after luring individuals to a motel, a Will County sheriff’s spokesperson said.
