Sparrow in downtown Naperville among best coffee shops for remote work, survey finds

Out and about but have some work to finish? Naperville has just the spot for you.

Sparrow Coffee is among the best coffee shops in the country for remote work, according to a survey released by MarketBeat.com.

The financial media company surveyed just over 3,000 business executives and remote workers to identify the top 145 coffee shops across the country for working away from the office.

Sparrow came in at No. 67.

“With comfortable seating, free WiFi, and a modern, inviting atmosphere, Sparrow Coffee is an ideal location for remote work, casual meetings or simply enjoying a quality coffee experience,” MarketBeat wrote of the Naperville café at 120 Water St. “Their commitment to sourcing and roasting exceptional beans has earned them a reputation as one of the premier coffee destinations in the area.”

Two other Illinois coffee spots also made the list: Oak + Bean in Oswego at No. 34 and Hexe Coffee Co. in Chicago at No. 61.

The top ranking shop was Bad Bunnies Coffee in Charleston, South Carolina, followed by 787 Coffee in New York City and Big Island Coffee Roasters in Hilo, Hawaii.

Sparrow opened its flagship location in January 2018. The company’s first brick-and-mortar cafe was opened in Naperville’s Water Street district after founder and CEO Chris Chacko had spent more than 30 years roasting beans and supplying fine restaurants with custom one-of-a-kind coffees to match their menus.

Today, Sparrow’s own menu boasts your classic lattes and brews as well as a slate of signature drinks, teas and pastries.
