The Illinois Department of Transportation on Friday laid out a $34.6 billion six-year spending plan for road, bridge, transit, rail, airport and port upkeep, and it includes several projects in the suburbs, such as on routes 53, 60/83, and 56, U.S. 20, I-190, and several smaller projects.
