‘Succession’ star in new Broadway production of iconic Chicago play

David Mamet’s “Glengarry Glen Ross,” the famed, Pulitzer Prize-winning play set in a desperate and cutthroat Chicago real estate office in the 1980s, is returning to Broadway next spring with a starry cast.

“Succession” star Kieran Culkin will play the loquacious Ricky Roma, Bob Odenkirk will be the veteran huckster Shelly “The Machine” Levene and Bill Burr will appear as the sad-sack customer Dave Ross.

The British playwright Patrick Marber will direct the revival, produced by Jeffrey Richards and Rebecca Gold and slated for a theater yet to be confirmed.

A high-profile revival of “Glengarry,” generally regarded as one of the former Chicago playwright’s masterworks and set in the Lincoln Square neighborhood, has been talked about for some time, including an abandoned plan to stage an all female version under the direction of Steppenwolf Theatre ensemble member Amy Morton.
