Digital information kiosks installed in St. Charles

Two digital kiosks have been installed at First Street Plaza in downtown St. Charles to provide visitors with information about the city.

One of the kiosks is by Main Street near La Za’Za’ Trattoria and the other is located by the south end of the plaza near MION Artisan Soap.

To use the kiosks, people just tap the screen to get started. From there, eight blue tabs will be shown on the screen previewing the information that the kiosks contain.

Information available includes a list of local activities, St. Charles establishments that offer dining and beverage options, upcoming community events, shopping possibilities, ideas for self-guided walking tours of the city and more.

St. Charles Business Alliance Executive Director Jenna Sawicki said the digital kiosks are a valuable addition to the downtown area.

“I hope that both out-of-town visitors and local community members alike utilize this resource,” Sawicki said in a press release. “Users are able to find everything that St. Charles has to offer at the tip of their finger, and the digital kiosks make planning your day in town easier than ever.”

Since installed, the digital kiosks have received positive notice from users, officials said.
