The Tribune’s Quotes of the Week quiz for Oct. 19

And down at Sox park, there may soon be new ownership. According to a Wednesday report from The Athletic, White Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is in “active discussions” to sell the South Side baseball team.

In other sports news, the Bears have a bye week after celebrating a blowout win against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, and the Bulls are looking forward to their season opener next week following Friday’s preseason finale against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the United Center.

Speaking of the United Center, one of pop’s biggest stars sold out the Chicago arena, with Sabrina Carpenter bringing her “Short n’ Sweet” tour to the Windy City. Meanwhile, the music industry and fans worldwide are grieving the sudden loss of former One Direction member Liam Payne. The 31-year-old singer died Wednesday after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
