There’s no rain: Could this be the second driest May on record in Chicago?

Through almost the first two weeks in May only 0.35 of an inch of rain has fallen at O’Hare International Airport, the city’s official recording site. Typically, at least 1.5 inches more than that would have fallen by now. Unless significant rain hits our area in the next few weeks, this could become the second driest May on record in Chicago since 1871.
