Come one, come all

The Theatre of Western Springs presents Carnivale: A Fundraising Celebration for the Theatre of Western Springs from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 10 at 4384 Hampton Ave., Western Springs. Tickets: $10-$100 for Carnivale wristband. 708-246-4043; theatreofwesternsprings.com.

There will be food trucks, games, and prizes, plus live music by local groups, on the theater lawn to benefit the theater.

The Lot presents Vintage Car Show from 12 to 4 p.m. Aug. 11 at 525 Central Ave., Highland Park. Tickets: Free. enjoyhighlandpark.com/vintage-car-show.

Over 200 vintage vehicles will be on display, dating back to 1907, as well as the Batmobile. DJ Eddie V will spin contemporary hits.

Swell smells

Celebrate Highwood presents Garlic Fest from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at Everts Park, 111 North Ave., Highwood. Tickets: Free. celebratehighwood.org.

Highwood’s 13th annual event will feature a variety of dishes with garlic, including garlic-infused chocolate, a garlic trivia contest, live music, and family activities.
