See a circus

The Actors Gymnasium presents “BIPOC Circus Alliance Winter Cabaret,” 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., Evanston. Tickets: $25-$35. 847-328-2795; actorsgymnasium.org/shows.

This original circus theater production features BIPOC artists from across Chicago and the Midwest.

Fancy footwork

Emergence Dance Theatre and Access Theatre Productions present Dance Chicago’s “Dances from the Heart” at 8 p.m. Feb. 10 at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, 9501 Skokie Blvd., Skokie. Tickets: $25-$45. 847-873-6300; northshorecenter.org.

Nearly 100 performers from Chicago dance companies will perform flamenco, ballet, jazz, comedy, musical theater, tap, urban fusion, Irish, classical Indian, Ukrainian folkloric, hip-hop, and other dance forms.

Heart-y party
