Food fest

Local restaurants and specialty shops will sell a variety of cuisines while live music entertains diners.

Strawberry stars

The Historic Downtown Long Grove Business Association will present Strawberry Fest June 21-23 at 145 Old McHenry Road., Long Grove. Tickets are $5; $10 for a 3-day pass. Call 847-634-0888 or go to longgrove.org/festival/strawberry-fest.

You’ll find strawberries in almost every form imaginable from strawberry doughnuts to strawberry popcorn to chocolate-covered strawberries, plus live music, a classic carnival, and games.

The old ball game

The Elmhurst History Museum will present a Vintage Baseball Game at 2 p.m. June 23 at Elmhurst University Mall, 190 S. Prospect Ave, Elmhurst. Tickets are free. Call 630-833-1457 or go to elmhursthistory.org.

Elmhurst University alumni will compete against City of Elmhurst staff following the 1858 rules. Pregame events begin at 1 p.m.
