Tuesday’s Chicago White Sox game against the Texas Rangers suspended because of rain

Chicago White Sox starter Garrett Crochet threw four pitches to Texas Rangers leadoff hitter Marcus Semien in Tuesday’s game at Guaranteed Rate Field before it was delayed because of rain.

The contest was eventually suspended in the first inning and will resume as part of a straight doubleheader at 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

The second game will begin approximately 30-45 minutes following the conclusion of the opener, but not earlier than 7:10 p.m. Parking lots and gates will open at 3:10 p.m.

According to the Sox, unexpected storms were the main culprit for Tuesday’s start and then quick delay.
