Two in custody after Northlake woman found beaten to death: Police

Two people are in custody after woman was found beaten to death Sunday at home in west suburban Northlake, according to authorities.

Elizabeth Peralta-Guadalupe, 43, was pronounced dead around 10:45 a.m. Sunday with multiple injuries, according to the medical examiner’s office. Northlake police found her in an apartment located at 38 King Arthur Court, per medical examiner information. Peralta-Guadalupe lived in the same apartment where she was killed, court records show.

An autopsy conducted Monday ruled her death a homicide due to assault.

As of Monday, two people were in custody regarding Peralta-Guadalupe’s death and charges were pending, according to Northlake Police Investigations Commander Brett Lettieri.
