A milelong stretch of East Chicago Street between Liberty and Center Streets has reopened to two-way traffic after a two-year, $7.6 million construction project that involved the installation of new storm sewers, water mains, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, pavement and traffic lights on the mile-long route.
