The television sitcom “Parks and Recreation” brought a few new traditions to popular culture and Galentine’s Day is no exception. In the show, Leslie Knope hosted Galentine’s Day to celebrate her friends the day before Valentine’s Day. The Fat Shallot and Mack’s Bike and Goods is hosting Galentine’s Day at The Fat Shallot this year, according to Central Street Evanston. Attendees can enjoy cocktails, karaoke and chair massages.

Joining The Fat Shallot in celebrating Galentine’s Day is Winnetka’s The Book Stall. Attendees can enjoy snacks while getting recommendations specific to the store’s romance section.
