Vendors, food, information and therapy dogs to be featured at ‘Autumn Market Faire’ in Morton Grove

A seasonal event is fast approaching in Morton Grove, with the village only weeks away from the “Autumn Market Faire” hosted by the Chamber of Commerce that is expected to offer a variety of goods and services.

Autumn Market Faire will take place Oct. 26 at the Prairie View Community Center. Event plans include having 70 tables with vendors “selling unique hand crafted items and services along with popular brands like Avon, Mary Kay, Paparazzi Jewelry, Renewal by Andersen and more,” according to promotional information provided about the event.

It is free and open to the public. A flier for the event states that the first 100 attendees will receive a coupon that can be used at the vendor tables. Also, families will be able to take a photo on a background with a Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas or New Year theme.

A number of wares and goods will be available to purchase, including art, health and beauty items, clothing, food, gift ware, home and holiday decorations, and jewelry. Particular items include candles, maple syrup, wood charcuterie boards, honey, confections, handmade soap, children’s books, plants, pet paintings, original art and more, according to promotional information.

“A pair of talented brothers will be providing live music during the event with their dad sharing photographic art and mom selling unique hand crafted bottles with lights; making this a fine example of a Morton Grove family working together,” according to the promo information.

Food will be available for purchase and there will be a dining area for onsite eating.

Some vendors will give prizes for the free raffle that will take place hourly.

On the informational side, attendees of Autumn Market Faire will have an opportunity to learn more about village happenings and offerings. Representatives from the village, Morton Grove Park District, Morton Grove Public Library, Niles and Maine township governments and the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce are expected to be present.

Additionally, those who go to the fair could get to learn about animal therapy dogs from the Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy.
