The workers were injured at around 9:30 a.m. as they and other Waukegan Public Works crew members were trimming trees near the intersection of Pershing and Greenwood avenues.

The fire department said a crane boom on a truck came into contact with a power line, electrifying the truck and injuring the two men.

The other crew members tended to the injured men until paramedics arrived. ComEd personnel also responded to the scene.
