Dr. Spence Jahner of We Care Chiropractic recently announced they have partnered with Gallatin Valley United Way in support of their kidsLINK Afterschool Program. Dr. Jahner is donating 100% of a month-long special for children of the Gallatin Valley and surrounding communities.
The kidsLINK Program was established in 1997 because rural communities were struggling to keep children safe after school while parents finished work. Today, kidsLINK operates at 33 school-based/linked locations across 4 counties and serves over 1,700 children every day, with over 2,700 enrolled.
“I love what they’re doing and how this program enhances our kids’ health with daily snacks and nutrition education,” said Dr. Jahner.
“And the way they are supporting hard-working families by making sure kids aren’t sent home alone after school helps big time. Plus, I’ve heard the mentoring and activities are a ton of fun… and the kids love it!” he added.
The success of kidsLINK is the result of strong partnerships with schools, school districts, MSU, Gallatin Farm-To-School, Gallatin Valley YMCA and other local organizations like We Care Chiropractic. kidsLINK supports academic success through tutoring, homework and reading support.
They also strengthen well-being with daily physical activities. Kids expand their interests and passion for learning through a variety of enrichment activities. kidsLINK also fosters mental and emotional well-being through the skilled and well-trained staff. kidsLINK is a fun, safe environment providing rich opportunities for learning, personal growth, and building relationships.
When asked about the partnership, Dr. Jahner said, “I’m excited to team up with kidsLINK to keep our Gallatin Valley’s most precious resource, our children, healthy and happy.”
He continued, “I have decided to offer a special for all kids ages up to 18 years old. It includes a complete Spinal Nerve Scan and an adjustment for just $49. And, because we really appreciate the program, we are donating every penny from this special to kidsLINK.”
The majority of kidsLINK programs operate on school grounds because of our long-term partnerships with school districts. Children experience an easy transition from the school day and families appreciate the convenience. Greater Gallatin United Way is pleased to offer the program without cap limits; allowing them to meet the needs of the growing communities.
As a Chiropractor who understands the amazing ability the power inside the body has to heal, Dr. Jahner reported, “We can help with an amazing variety of health and wellness challenges. And kids often respond incredibly well!”
From headaches to digestive problems to back and neck issues like the emerging “text neck” which was recently reported in Good Housekeeping Magazine, chiropractic care has been seen as a way to help kids when other options may not seem to have the desired impact.
Dr. Jahner graduated as valedictorian from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He moved to the Bozeman area in 1992 to develop his current practice. He was awarded Montana Chiropractor of the Year and has lectured at chiropractic seminars across the nation.
