NEW YORK — The weather forecast has led to a time change for Wednesday’s series finale between the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets at Citi Field.
The game will begin at 12:10 p.m. CT because of weather, the Mets announced. The first pitch was originally slated for 6:10 p.m.
The Sox will start Shane Smith, who was originally in line for Tuesday’s game before Jonathan Cannon made enough progress in his recovery from lower back tightness to get the nod. Griffin Canning is in line to start Wednesday for the Mets.
