What to do in Chicago: Mumford & Sons, fashion at the Field and animals at Kohl Children’s Museum

Mumford & Sons: Billed as part of the “Tour Before the Tour,” the British folk rock band takes the stage at the Chicago Theatre days before its new album release for “Rushmere.” It’s been seven years since their last one. 9 p.m. March 22 at Chicago Theatre, 175 N. Chicago Flamenco Festival: The festival wraps up this weekend with Clinard Dance’s Flamenco Quartet Project, a group that aims to create multidisciplinary compositions to connect flamenco with local artists from jazz, blues and hip hop. This performance will feature jazz vocalist Joan Collaso, rapper King Mossa, flamenco percussionist Diego Alvarez, flamenco singer “Cachito” Jose Diaz, blues artist Billy Branch, tap artist Jumaane Taylor, guitarist Andrea Salcedo and flamenco dancer Wendy Clinard. 7:30 p.m. March 24 at Space Evanston, 1245 Chicago Ave., Evanston; tickets $15-$30 at cultura.cervantes.es

“Bach and the Venetians”: Join the Bach in the City Chorus, Gaudete Brass and more as they celebrate the anniversary of J.S. Bach’s birth. Rosie and The Rivets: Perhaps you’re in the mood for a throwback of a more recent vintage? “Go Dog Go! — Ve Perro ¡Ve!”: Based on P.D. Eastman’s 1961 children’s book, this bilingual production highlights “throughlines of friendship, generosity and imagination that are equally valuable for the youngest theatergoers,” according to a Tribune review. Spring Family Festival: Head to Glenview for a special petting farm and animal meet-and-greet at Kohl Children’s Museum.
