Metra is troubleshooting for a potential freight rail worker strike Friday that could knock out service on its popular BNSF and UP lines. ‘What we can control, we will,” Metra Executive Director Jim Derwinski said. The agency is asking the CTA and Pace to honor Metra tickets. Amtrak is also preemptively suspending some service to and from Chicago.
