Woman found dead in Englewood building a homicide victim: autopsy

A woman was found beaten to death in an Englewood building Monday, authorities said.

An autopsy on the unidentified woman performed Tuesday concluded her death was a homicide due to multiple injuries consistent with assault, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The woman was found in the 7000 block of South Normal Boulevard around 4:10 p.m., according to Chicago police. No one was in custody related to her death, they added. Area detectives were investigating.
