A woman was wounded Sunday night in a shooting at the Amazon fulfillment center in Matteson, police said.
At 9:30 p.m., Matteson police responded to reports of shots fired at the fulfillment center, 7001 Vollmer Road July 14.
Police found a 33-year-old woman from the Chicago area who suffered a graze wound to the head, according to police.
The woman was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for non-life threatening injuries. Medical staff anticipate her release later today, police said.
A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was likely in retaliation for an unreported fight that broke out among workers in the parking lot earlier that night, police said.
