A woman died and three others were injured after a gray sedan crashed into a light pole along North DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Uptown early Sunday morning, according to Chicago police.
Officers responded to the collision near North Montrose Avenue at approximately 1:45 a.m.
A 32-year-old woman was riding in the front passenger seat while the car was driving northbound. She sustained head trauma and was pronounced dead at Weiss Memorial Hospital.
The male driver and two female passengers in the rear sustained minor injuries. They were transported to local hospitals, where the driver was listed in fair condition and the surviving passengers were in good condition.
Traffic citations are pending as Major Accident Detectives continue investigating.
