Authorities have identified a woman stabbed to death in Lincoln Square over the weekend as 29-year-old Mairunnisa B. Osman.
Police said Osman was found in a home on the 2700 block of West Balmoral Avenue after a fight with a 35-year-old man who allegedly stabbed her, left the scene and was later arrested.
According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Osman lived in the West Ridge neighborhood on the far North Side. An autopsy conducted Sunday ruled her death a homicide due to multiple stab wounds.
Charges were still pending against the man Monday afternoon, police said.
