A woman’s body was found in the Calumet River Saturday morning on the city’s East Side, according to Chicago police.
Marine unit officers pulled the lifeless woman’s remains from the river around 11:20 a.m. near the 9800 block of South Avenue N, police said. The woman’s age and identity weren’t known.
Police didn’t comment on the condition of the body but said detectives were conducting a death investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
