Preservationists spent years trying to save the DuPage Theatre in downtown Lombard. But the historic movie house was razed in 2007, and its loss still lingers with those who remember its former glory. Now a few artifacts from “the Dupe,” as locals affectionately call it, have found a new home in an apartment development built on the old theater site.
