Valentine’s Day nightmare

Spice up your Valentine’s Day weekend with blood-sucking vampires, horrifying monsters and more lurking around every corner. Enhance the experience with a visit to the Blood Bank Secret Bar, mini escape rooms, axe throwing, a boutique and even a Second Shot at Love Respawn pass to go through again.

All up in this jazz

Enjoy jazz greats Orbert Davis on trumpet, Darius Hampton on tenor sax, Larry Gray on bass, Ernie Adams on drums and Valerie Nicholson on piano. Held in the Conference Center.

One-man ‘Lewis’

Written by C.S. Lewis (“The Chronicles of Narnia.” “The Screwtape Letters”) and adapted by Tom Key, the show stars Bradley Armacost of Provision Theater Company and is directed by Provision’s founding artistic director, Timothy Gregory. This one-man show uses Lewis’ own writings to give audiences a better idea of who the literary icon was.

A night with the opera

The Barricade Boys, from London’s West End, perform at 4 p.m. Feb. 18 at the McAninch Arts Center at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. Tickets are $60-$70. At 425 Fawell Blvd. 630-942-4000; atthemac.org.

The four “Les Misérables” alumni will perform a program ranging from pop to opera; including selections from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Miss Saigon,” “Jersey Boys” and “Les Misérables,” as well as hits by Queen, Elton John and The Beatles.

Tiffany in Lake County

Get ready for a totally tubular time when ‘80s pop star Tiffany performs her hits like “I Think We’re Alone Now,” “Could’ve Been” and “I Saw Him Standing There.” Fun fact: Tiffany was the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with her debut album in 1987.
