All Oak Brook residents are invited to a free pancake breakfast, presented by the police and fire departments, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 19 at the Oak Brook Fire Department Station 94, 1200 Oak Brook Road.
Parking is available at the adjacent Butler Government Center at the same address.
- Along with free pancakes, the breakfast will include the following activities: A meet-and-greet with Sparky the Fire Dog and Pawficer Bandit, the police department’s comfort/therapy dog;
- A hands-on experience with police cars and fire trucks, exploring the vehicles and learning about their features;
- Guided tours of the police and fire stations;
- Experience using a fire hose to put out a simulated fire, complete with safety instructions.
The event is open only to Oak Brook residents.
